About the Role: We are looking for an Application & Systems Specialist to support and develop IT platforms across Higher Education. You will act as a systems administrator, support academic users, and contribute to projects that enhance teaching, research, and administrative services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Windows/Linux servers (on-prem & cloud)
- Maintain and support research and teaching applications
- Monitor system performance, security, backups, and availability
- Troubleshoot incidents and provide advanced technical support
- Collaborate with teams to improve systems and services
- Participate in agile project and product teams
- Support academic staff with specialist IT solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials
Key Skills & Experience:
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, on-site support role
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365
