We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect (Data) to play a key role in designing and delivering a secure, scalable, and enterprise-wide data sharing platform within a complex operational environment. This is an opportunity to shape modern data architecture that enables real-time collaboration, operational insight, and data-driven decision making across multiple stakeholders.
The Role
As the Solution Architect (Data), you'll lead the design of end-to-end data solutions that support secure interoperability, governance, and trusted data exchange across enterprise platforms. You'll work closely with architecture, governance, security, and business teams to ensure data can be shared efficiently, securely, and in line with regulatory and operational requirements. The role combines hands-on technical architecture with strategic stakeholder engagement and long-term data capability development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-grade data exchange and integration architectures
- Define data processing, metadata, and interface standards for scalable consumption
- Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling activities
- Design secure APIs, access controls, licensing, and governance frameworks
- Support integration with cloud data platforms and existing enterprise systems
- Partner with Data Governance and Architecture teams on semantic modelling and interoperability
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, retention, consent, and encryption requirements
- Produce clear documentation covering data flows, interfaces, and architecture models
- Enable self-service analytics and reporting capabilities for business users
- Collaborate with Solution, Cloud, and Enterprise Architects to ensure aligned platform design
- Support technical testing and performance validation activities
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Data or Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments
- Expertise in designing scalable data architectures and integration solutions; and working with Agile methodologies.
- Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, stewardship, and regulatory compliance
- Hands-on experience with APIs, integration pipelines, and modern security controls
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar database technologies
- Proven capability delivering logical and physical data models
- Stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience handling sensitive data, including encryption, consent management, and retention policies
- Familiarity with data lakes, real-time analytics, and emerging data technologies
- Documentation and communication skills
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or other big data technologies
- Exposure to AI/ML integration within enterprise data environments
- Cloud or data certifications such as Azure, AWS, or CDMP
- Experience integrating Salesforce or customer data platforms (CDPs)
