Our high profile Public Sector client are looking for a Power BI Developer to join them on a contract basis.
Good foundation in Power BI including report development and UI/UX design, creating bookmarks and custom tooltips, and using interactive visuals effectively.
Understanding of data modelling concepts including creating efficient star-schema style models and maintaining/optimising existing semantic models.
Proficiency in DAX including building advanced measures and calculated columns and implementing logic such as role-based access for visuals.
Data transformation and cleaning experience using Power Query including handling nulls, standardising categories and creating custom dimension tables.
Good knowledge of data ingestion from different sources and an understanding of refresh strategies and data quality checks.
Good knowledge of filtering techniques, slicers, cross-filtering behaviour and implementing RLS for controlled data access and consistent user experience.
Deployment knowledge in Power BI Service including publishing, workspace permissions and creating/sharing content via a Power BI App.
