We are currently recruiting for a Manual Tester with Defined Contributions experience to join one of our insurance clients on a 6-month contract. Inside IR35. Hybrid- 2/3 days a week onsite in Reigate.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the test planning process and create test cases in qTest.
- Collaborate with users to understand requirements and translate into test plans, ensuring product quality in own and others' work and using extensive testing engineering skills.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory tests.
- Log and track defects using JIRA and qTest.
- Work closely with the automation tester to share scenarios for automation and validate automated results.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with other teams to understand the integration testing, possible areas of risk and regression testing required.
- Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions on business processes.
- Establish best testing practices within the team and ensure that it is shared and understood.
- Work closely with Development, Product/Business Analysts, and other Software Engineering functions to ensure high quality on-time delivery.
- Assess opportunities to strengthen definition of done and get closer to delivering working software at the end of every sprint.
- Create high quality acceptance tests from acceptance criteria and quality standards that help the scrum team understand the value of the user story from the user's perspective.
- Support team members, both locally and globally.
Experience:
- Financial Services experience.
- Pensions Industry or Master Trust would be beneficial.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Experience in Automation Testing is required.
- Exposure to AI technologies and testing process.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Quality Centre test tools.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of SDLC process.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum framework is required.
- Create test scenarios from functional requirements and/or User Stories using the Gherkin format.
- Intermediate skills in writing SQL.
- Manage time effectively by placing the right focus on value added operations.
- Advanced knowledge of tools and techniques used in manual testing.
