My client, an Insurance giant, is seeking a Project Accountant to support a key Finance Transformation Programme, focusing on ceded reinsurance data migration and reconciliation activities for our Lloyd's Syndicate business. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with insurance/reinsurance experience to play a critical role in delivering high-impact finance transformation initiatives within a dynamic, global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed data analysis and manipulation of ceded technical accounts
- Reconcile SAP ledger to sub-ledger balances (premium, commissions, recoveries, etc.)
- Identify and resolve reconciliation differences through appropriate governance processes
- Prepare and post journals to both SAP and sub-ledgers
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and accessible financial data
- Document processes to ensure strong reinsurance controls and data integrity
- Support delivery of Finance Transformation Programme objectives
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis across the finance function
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven insurance or reinsurance industry experience (essential)
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
