We are seeking an experienced and proactive Compliance Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening our regulatory framework and supporting strategic compliance initiatives within a respected Lloyd’s market organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence, advise, and lead on key regulatory matters while partnering closely with the business.
About the RoleAs a Compliance Manager, you will provide expert advice on Lloyd’s, FCA, and PRA regulations, manage complex regulatory projects, and support the development of an effective compliance culture. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and teams across the organisation to ensure regulatory obligations are met and processes remain fit for purpose.
About the TeamYou will join a high-performing Compliance function that forms a critical part of the second line of defence. The team provides regulatory guidance, oversees compliance risk management, and maintains constructive relationships with supervisory bodies.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Assurance & Advisory in managing team performance, delivery, and culture.
- Develop, update, and embed compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and audits.
- Provide regulatory advice and practical guidance to the business.
- Lead and contribute to regulatory change initiatives and system enhancements.
- Deliver compliance training and support continuous education across the organisation.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators and stay informed on upcoming regulatory developments.
- Evaluate and improve processes, leveraging automation and AI where appropriate.
- Build collaborative relationships across the organisation and wider Lloyd’s market.
- Strong understanding of the general insurance sector and ideally the Lloyd’s market.
- Experience interpreting regulation and applying it to practical business scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and professional scepticism.
- Ability to challenge, influence, and engage effectively at all levels.
- Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable leading or contributing to change initiatives.
