We are looking for an experienced Software Developer / Engineer to join a technology team supporting multiple business‑critical products and platforms within a secure banking environment. This role will involve a mix of core development, platform upgrades, and operational incident support, working across the full software development lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a well‑rounded engineer who enjoys working in a structured, regulated environment and contributing to high‑quality, secure technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build high‑quality technology solutions that deliver real value to business stakeholders
- Contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design and development through to deployment and support
- Develop software in line with banking standards, processes, and engineering best practices
- Build and operate CI capabilities, including source control and management of related artefacts
- Ensure security and privacy requirements are embedded into system design, integration, and build activities
- Support live services, upgrades, and operational incidents as required
- Strong experience across the full software development lifecycle, with exposure to different development methodologies
- C# / .NET, SQL, React
- Solid understanding of technical and solution architectures
- Hands‑on experience with development tooling including Git, Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio
- Strong experience working with relational databases
- Highly professional, organised, and self‑motivated approach to work
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across technology and business teams
- Experience working with Azure Cloud, Power Platform, and web applications / APIs
- Strong understanding of software testing practices, including unit testing, system testing, and UAT support
- Good business and systems analysis skills
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment procedures
- Ability to produce clear, concise, high‑quality technical documentation
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
