Our client, a major Financial institution, is seeking support for a major EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) deployment across their cloud estate and is looking for a Cloud / DevOps Engineer to play a key role in this initiative. You will work across cloud servers, Kubernetes clusters, and containerised environments, supporting both the deployment and the ongoing operation of the EDR tooling. This role includes L2/L3 support responsibilities and close collaboration with a wide range of technical and business stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on cloud work, operational responsibility, and working in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of an EDR tool across the cloud estate
- Provide L2/L3 operational support, including overnight on-call (24/7) cover
- Troubleshoot complex issues using cloud monitoring and observability tooling
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Work with Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads
- Collaborate effectively with security, platform, and application teams
- Contribute to service reliability, automation, and operational best practices
Proven experience
- Providing L2/L3 operational support, including 24/7 on-call
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working on a cloud platform (Azure preferred)
- Hands-on use of monitoring and observability tools to troubleshoot and gain insights
- Practical experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
Additional Required Capabilities
- Solid foundational networking knowledge (DNS, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, network protocols)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments
- Experience using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, AIOps tools, or similar
- Background in SRE and/or DevOps roles, with an understanding of SRE principles and automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and share knowledge
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Knowledge of the ITIL framework
- Experience with PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, or Search Intelligence
