One of Lorien’s key public sector clients is looking for a Project Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month contract (possible extension) working on a major Correspondence Management System (CMS) transformation programme. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a cloud-based SaaS solution as part of a wider business transformation initiative, driving stakeholder engagement, business change, and implementation delivery across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of the CMS project and associated workstreams
  • Managing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, budgets and resources
  • Driving delivery from initiation through to implementation and transition into BAU
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes
  • Managing dependencies across multiple projects and programmes
  • Providing leadership and governance across project workstreams
  • Supporting business change activities and ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives
  • Representing the project within customer and user forums, ensuring effective communication and engagement
  • Escalating risks, issues and delivery concerns to senior leadership where appropriate

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale SaaS or cloud-based transformation programmes
  • Strong Project Management background with end-to-end delivery experience
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex implementations involving business change, integration and data migration activities
  • Experience developing and managing detailed project plans and programme milestones
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at all organisational levels
  • Experience working within large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage project finances, risks, governance and reporting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience delivering projects within a public sector environment

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience delivering Correspondence Management, Case Management or Workflow solutions
  • Experience within Scottish Government, Central Government, Local Authority or wider public sector organisations
  • Exposure to FOI, Parliamentary Questions or Ministerial Correspondence processes
  • Relevant Project Management qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering corporate function or service transformation programmes
