Job Description
Lead Mobile Developer (iOS, Android) - Glasgow Hybrid - Circa 60K
* Glasgow - 1 or 2 days per week in office *
Lorien's client, a growing name with an impressive product line making a real difference to people's lives around the globe, is looking to bolster their technical function with some great new talent in the shape of a Lead Mobile Developer with skills across iOS and Android.
In this role, you'll be working on core mobile applications which sit at the heart of their mission to improve peoples' quality of life, and take the reins as a technical leader, hands-on figurehead, and go-to expert for all things mobile development, vendor management, best practice embedding and more. As well as the apps themselves, you'll also be improving the function from within via mentoring and coaching other technical staff

- Solid track record of iOS and Android development working with the likes of C++, Java/Kotlin, Swift and Objective-C
- Skills across Flutter and Android Studio as well as TypeScript for cross-compatible feature development
- Good knowledge of UX/UI, OO programming, and an "under the bonnet" understanding of software engineering covering areas such as data structures/algos
- Demonstrable record of leading a software engineering team/function
- A passion for the mobile development domain, ideally via personal projects or keeping up to date with the latest trends and offerings out there
- Ability to learn as you go and pick up new skills / technologies along the way as offerings evolve
