About This Opportunity This company is seeking an experienced Compliance Investigator to join its prestigious aerospace and aviation maintenance division.

The Compliance Investigator will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory adherence, investigating compliance incidents, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

The Role

  • Conduct thorough investigations into compliance incidents, discrepancies, and safety concerns using Root Cause Analysis methodologies
  • Perform MEDA investigations and identify human factors and performance issues
  • Ensure strict adherence to UK CAA/EASA Part 145, Part CAMO, Part 21 G, and company-specific MRO compliance standards
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to develop robust audit and inspection processes
  • Support regulatory audits and coordinate responses to findings, ensuring timely non-conformance resolution
  • Provide detailed investigation reports with recommendations to senior management and regulatory bodies
  • Track and maintain corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Essential Requirements for the Compliance Investigator Role

  • Proven experience conducting compliance investigations within an aviation maintenance or aerospace environment
  • Expert knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving methodologies
  • In-depth understanding of EASA Part 145, UK CAA regulations, and industry safety standards
  • Strong knowledge of human factors principles, including human performance and limitations
  • Ability to analyse technical documentation, maintenance records, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience conducting audits and inspections within maintenance organisations
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools, quality management systems (QMS), and data analysis software
  • Formal training in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigative techniques
  • Security Clearance (SC) or ability to obtain it

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience conducting MEDA investigations
  • Knowledge of UK CAA/EASA Part CAMO, Part 21 G, and Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations
  • ISO 9001 or AS 9100 aviation standards knowledge
  • Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) certification
  • Aviation Auditor or Lead Auditor certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification

  • Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)
  • Pay Rate: £24.89 per hour (PAYE) or £33.29 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Travel: None required
  • Security Clearance: DBS required; this company will support the clearance process
  • IR35 Status: Off-payroll working rules apply
