Junior Data Engineer – Manchester – £35,000
The Company:
Lorien are working in partnership with Sharp Gaming, a fast-growing technology business powering some of the biggest names in the betting and gaming industry. With a strong focus on data-driven decision making, they\’re now looking to expand their data engineering team with a Junior Data Engineer who\’s eager to learn and grow in a high-performance environment.
The Role:
You\’ll be joining a collaborative team responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and operational systems. Working closely with senior engineers and data analysts, you\’ll help ingest, transform, and optimise data from various sources across the business.
This is a hands-on role where you\’ll gain exposure to cloud platforms, modern data tooling, and best practices in data engineering. You\’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of new data solutions as the business continues to scale.
The Skill Requirements:
Successful candidates will have a blend of the following:
- Experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation and scripting
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
