We’re working with a well-established and forward-thinking organisation seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to join their team. You’ll be stepping into a leadership role with hands-on responsibilities, guiding two skilled IT operatives and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small IT team
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the organisation
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 systems
- Support authentication systems, ideally with Azure experience
- Prioritise workloads and delegate tasks effectively
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure IT systems meet business needs
- Contribute to the development and improvement of bespoke software and services
- Maintain documentation and ensure best practices are followed
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an MSP or similar IT support environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and general Microsoft infrastructure
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and authentication protocols
- Solid understanding of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and system administration
- Basic understanding of firewalls and IT security principles
- Comfortable with scripting or programming concepts (beneficial but not essential)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A mature, proactive approach with the ability to lead by example
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role
- Exposure to bespoke or custom-built software systems
- Understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks
- Azure Authentication experience
