Our client is looking to recruit a highly capable Technical Lead to oversee Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps automation; to take ownership of the technical direction, architecture, and engineering quality of a modern product environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll combine deep technical expertise with architectural oversight and team guidance to help shape scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.

The Technical Lead will work across backend services, frontend applications, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, integrations, and operational tooling, ensuring engineering delivery remains aligned with both product goals and long‑term architectural direction.

Key responsibilities for the Technical Lead:

  • Own the technical integrity and architecture of the product
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Drive architectural decisions across APIs, services, integrations, and cloud infrastructure
  • Provide leadership across backend, frontend, DevOps, and data integration workstreams
  • Champion engineering quality including testing, security, observability, and operational readiness

Skills and Capabilities for the Technical Lead:

  • Hands‑on experience with Python and FastAPI
  • Frontend experience using React and TypeScript
  • Excellent knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch
  • Experience designing and supporting event‑driven architectures
  • Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, infrastructure‑as‑code, and deployment automation
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, tracing, and operational resilience
  • Solid understanding of secure system design and modern security principles
  • Proven experience leading technical design and delivery within complex production environments
  • Ability to influence technical direction and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Proven experience leading technical design and engineering delivery for complex systems in production
  • Experience translating ambiguous or evolving requirements into clear architecture and implementation decisions
  • Demonstrated depth in one or more core areas such as backend, cloud, or DevOps, with enough breadth to lead across the full stack
  • Hands‑on experience with Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, and AWS
  • Experience working in Agile engineering environments with modern CI/CD
  • Experience supporting live systems, leading technical incident analysis, and improving resilience over time
  • Able to balance long‑term technical direction with immediate delivery needs
