Test Automation Engineer - Contract - Inside IR35 - Glasgow - Hybrid - 6-Months
We're looking for a Test Automation Engineer to build automated test frameworks that keep our cloud data pipelines and applications accurate, reliable and release-ready.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated test suites covering unit, integration, end-to-end and regression testing
- Write Pytest unit tests and reusable Python test frameworks
- Carry out functional testing and validate data across pipelines using SQL and PySpark
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Raise and track defects through to resolution
Essential skills
- Strong Python and SQL, ideally with PySpark
- Databricks or a similar cloud data platform
- Pytest, plus integration, end-to-end and regression testing
- Software quality assurance and functional testing
- Data validation
- Git and CI/CD, ideally Azure DevOps (GitHub also considered)
