Requirements
- Proven track record in systems administration across Windows and mac OS environments
- Hands‑on skills across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and device management
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core Microsoft infrastructure services
- Demonstrable experience with Hyper‑V and virtualisation, backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and resilience testing
- Solid networking knowledge, including LAN, WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls
- Ideally Power Shell skills and a strong grasp of automation
- Desirable experience with Linux, Terraform or Ansible, Teams telephony, IIS, and DR simulations
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for Windows and mac OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft infrastructure services
- Administer and improve Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, Share Point, and Entra ID
- Manage modern endpoint environments across Windows 10/11, mac OS, and i OS using Intune
- Support and maintain Hyper‑V virtualisation, storage, and backup platforms
- Lead 2nd and 3rd line escalations, root cause analysis, and preventative improvements
- Drive patching, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation
- Contribute to internal IT upgrades, migrations, and wider improvement initiatives
- Keep technical documentation, runbooks, and asset records accurate and up to date
- Provide mentoring, guidance, and knowledge‑sharing with junior IT colleagues
