Group Finance Manager in Glasgow

Role: Group Finance Manager

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: London - 3 x days per week onsite / 2 x days from home)

The Group Finance Manager is a key member of the high-profile Group Financial Reporting Team. You\'ll join a team that is responsible for all external financial reporting for the Group, as well as ensuring the timely and accurate monthly group close process – including the preparation of key reconciliations – thereby improving the efficiency of our external reporting cycle.

The team also provide technical accounting guidance across the Group, including being heavily involved in acquisitions, disposals and restructuring.

Key responsibilities:

• Key role in activities undertaken monthly to prepare consolidated results and internal reporting through the Group consolidation system (SAP FC)
• Key member of the team responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, internal approval and delivery of the financial sections of the Year-end external reporting
• Key team member liaising with and providing information to the external auditors
• Supporting the financial accounting aspects of M&A activity, including working with Divisional teams including facilitating any reporting requirements
• Supporting the application of IFRS across the Group, involving providing technical accounting guidance to Divisions, service centres and other Group functions

Skills and Experience Required:

• ACA qualified
• Strong IFRS technical accounting, including M&A experience
• Experience in external reporting
• Experience of working in a group role with multiple entities
• Previous experience of working with the Big 4 is highly advantageous
