Fund Accountant - Private Capital
Location: Glasgow
Contract: 6 months initially, Inside IR35
The Role
Join a Private Capital Fund Accounting team, providing fund valuation and accounting services to private capital funds, ensuring compliance with fund documentation, client SLAs, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Financial Statements (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP)
- Prepare valuations, reconciliations, drawdowns, distributions, accruals and expenses
- Double-entry bookkeeping and cash reconciliation
- Prepare investor capital statements and IRR calculations
- Liaise with clients, auditors and internal teams; attend client/audit meetings
- Ensure client SLAs and internal deadlines are met
- Support process/checklist improvements and control documentation
- Support system/platform implementation and change activity
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Financial services experience, ideally fund accounts preparation (private capital preferred)
- Fully or part qualified (ACCA/ACA or similar) preferred; currently studying will also be considered
- Strong numerical skills and excellent Excel proficiency
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communicator, team player, able to meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Understanding of private capital fund structures (GP/LP/Feeder)
- Awareness of private capital industry standards and regulations
- Experience in a multi-national environment
