An exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax & Treasury Manager to lead corporation tax compliance and oversee key treasury activities within a complex organisation. This is a pivotal role combining technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead corporation tax compliance, including returns, CbCR and BEPS requirements
  • Coordinate the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) process and ensure robust controls
  • Manage HMRC enquiries, audits, and maintain strong regulatory relationships
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing clear tax guidance across the business
  • Identify and manage tax risks, ensuring effective mitigation actions
  • Support statutory and regulatory reporting, including year-end processes
  • Oversee treasury activity, including cashflow monitoring and liquidity management
  • Drive process improvements and support wider finance and system initiatives
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team to deliver a high-quality service

About You

  • Strong corporation tax experience within a large or complex environment
  • Professionally qualified (eg CIOT, ATT, ACCA) or equivalent experience
  • Confident communicator, able to simplify complex tax matters
  • Experience leading or mentoring others
  • Strong analytical, organisational and Excel skills
  • Experience working with financial or tax systems

Desirable

  • Exposure to other direct taxes or treasury activities
  • Experience with cashflow forecasting and liquidity management
  • Knowledge of Alphatax
