We're looking for a Noise Strategy Manager to help shape the future of environmental performance within a major UK transport and infrastructure organisation. This is a unique opportunity to combine data, strategy, sustainability and stakeholder engagement to influence how noise impacts are understood, managed and improved. You'll play a key role in delivering a long-term Noise Action Plan, using insight and evidence to support better decision-making and drive meaningful change.
The Role
Sitting within the sustainability and communities function, you'll be responsible for driving the organisation's noise strategy, working across operational, environmental and corporate teams to improve performance and reporting. The role will have a particular focus on improving the teams data analysis, storytelling and visualisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement of the Noise Action Plan.
- Using data and performance insight to develop meaningful KPIs and improve reporting processes.
- Conducting research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and policy development.
- Influencing senior stakeholders and operational teams to drive improvements in environmental performance.
- Developing compelling stories from data and presenting findings in a clear and impactful way.
- Supporting work relating to noise management, operational performance, airspace design and environmental programmes.
- Building relationships with industry partners, regulators, independent experts, community representatives and other external stakeholders.
About You:
We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds and don't require a traditional noise/acoustics specialist. You'll be successful if you can demonstrate:
- A passion for using data and evidence to create positive change.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, ideally with Power BI or similar tools.
- Experience translating complex information into clear recommendations and action plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- An interest in sustainability, environmental performance, operations, infrastructure or aviation.
- A curious mindset with the confidence to challenge convention and introduce new ideas.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage audiences from frontline teams through to senior leaders.
- Experience in environmental management, sustainability, social science, operational performance, transport, infrastructure, aviation, policy or consulting environments would be particularly relevant.
If you're passionate about using insight, data and stakeholder engagement to influence environmental performance and drive meaningful change, we'd love to have you apply.
