Lorien are currently recruiting for an experienced Solution Architect to join a major digital transformation programme within a complex, fast-paced organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver user-centric solutions across a portfolio of high-impact change initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring architecture principles, standards, and best practice are consistently applied, working closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to drive effective and scalable solutions.
Key responsibilities:- Work with business and change stakeholders to shape, agree, and deliver solution architectures aligned to wider design, innovation, and architecture principles.
- Collaborate closely with delivery teams, including Digital Labs and Scrum teams, to ensure detailed designs align with agreed solution architectures.
- Provide strategic technology guidance and advice to stakeholders across the organisation.
- Identify opportunities to drive business benefit and enhance user experience through new technologies and innovative ways of working.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration with business architects, product managers, other architects, and external partners.
- Support continuous improvement by helping to build internal solution design capability, including mentoring and establishing standards.
- Proven experience in solution architecture and technical design within programmes, projects, or product-led environments.
- Strong experience developing technical standards, reference architectures, roadmaps, and target state designs across complex environments.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and manage senior stakeholders across multiple teams and organisations.
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile delivery environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of existing ('as is') and target ('to be') architecture landscapes.
- Technical experience across cloud and integration technologies, including:
- Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- Cloud-native and hybrid cloud architectures
- Infrastructure across IaaS and PaaS models
- SaaS delivery and implementation
- Integration layers and solution integration approaches
- Exposure to cloud security best practices
