About the role

We are looking for a Resourcer to join our Technology Recruitment Team at Lorien in Edinburgh. You will support recruiters and account managers across several high‐demand client accounts by sourcing, engaging and qualifying high-calibre candidates for a range of tech roles. Working closely with your team, you will play a key role in meeting active hiring demand and contributing to growth and delivery success.

What you will be doing:

  • Source skilled tech candidates for a variety of roles through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, and internal databases.
  • Build and maintain candidate talent pools and drive candidate experience.
  • Carry out proactive and reactive sourcing to support multiple accounts with ongoing roles.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to both active and passive candidates.
  • Carry out detailed telephone screening to assess suitability.
  • Support pre-interview briefings, interview scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Update and maintain the applicant tracking system.
  • Meet KPIs including call activity, CV submissions, interviews arranged, and placements.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in a recruitment, resourcing, sales or talent acquisition role (tech environment desirable).
  • Comfortable with telephone-based engagement, outbound calling, or telesales-style conversations.
  • Solid understanding of candidate sourcing techniques and Boolean search fundamentals desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage candidates at all levels.
  • Good organisational ability with attention to detail.
  • Resilient, positive, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
