Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - P2P Transformation

Edinburgh or Glasgow (office-based/Central Belt travel)

Β£450 per day | Inside IR35

6-month contract | Immediate start

We are working with a major utilities organisation to recruit an experienced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to lead a Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) transformation within Finance.

This is a hands-on delivery role, leading high-impact improvement projects while also training, mentoring and coaching Finance teams across the Central Belt to embed sustainable continuous improvement capability.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead priority Lean Six Sigma improvement projects across the P2P value stream
  • Analyse data, redesign processes and deliver measurable finance and performance benefits
  • Facilitate workshops and support implementation of improved ways of working
  • Coach Finance colleagues and Green Belts to build long-term CI capability
  • Engage senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Digital and Operations

Essential experience

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Strong background delivering improvements in Finance/P2P processes
  • Proven track record of benefits realisation (cost, quality, efficiency)
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel across the Central Belt for onsite delivery and mentoring

Desirable

  • Utilities, regulated or public-sector experience
  • Exposure to P2P systems, digital or automation initiatives
  • Change management experience or training

Hybrid working, with regular Edinburgh or Glasgow office presence and onsite engagement as required.
