We're supporting a large-scale data and analytics programme and are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to join the team on an initial 9-month contract. This role will focus on designing and developing high-quality data models and datamarts that enable accurate reporting, analytics, and Power BI solutions. You'll work closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Power BI Developers to ensure data is structured, governed, and optimised for business use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop dimensional data models and datamarts
  • Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models
  • Optimise data structures for Power BI reporting and analytics
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers on data pipelines and transformations
  • Define and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and documentation
  • Support data governance, quality, and consistency initiatives
  • Ensure data integrity through testing and validation activities
  • Contribute to data modelling standards and best practices

Essential Skills Experience

  • Strong experience in Data Modelling and Data Warehousing
  • Expertise in dimensional modelling techniques
  • Experience working with Power BI reporting environments
  • Strong SQL skills
