Role Description:
As a Data Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:
* Responsibility of generating insights that shape and inform key business decisions and inspire stakeholders with algorithmic solutions for complex business problems
* Manage and assimilating a variety of data sources into a cohesive and accurate portrayal of operational performance
* Responsibility of looking after a business problem and then planning and executing the appropriate analysis in order to solve it
* Sourcing and manipulating the appropriate data and then analysing the outputs
* Demonstrating commercial insight to explore business growth opportunity, presenting your strategies to key stakeholders
* Contributing to Strategic Business initiatives and projects across operations by providing performance analysis to support strategies
As a Data Analyst, your skills and qualifications will include:
* Expertise / strong proficiency in SQL and Python – this role requires you to have proven experience of data analytics using both these programming languages
* Expertise of using classical statistical methods (such as logistic regression, decision trees) in a commercial environment
* Proven experience of delivering data products with relevant BI/data analytics tool set with an expertise in using SQL
* Solid hands on experience with some of the following data manipulation tools: Hadoop, Python, R, Impala
* The ability to influence senior executive stakeholders
* Being a self-motivated team player who is able to define, structure and prioritise work for yourself as well as others
* A commercial, financial and business acumen
