Cyber Security Consultant (Defence Sector, Security Cleared or Clearance Eligible), Bristol - Hybrid
A leading Big Four professional services firm is hiring cyber professionals in Bristol and the wider South West who hold security clearance or are eligible to obtain it, to support a growing programme of defence related work. If you have worked on sensitive or government projects, or you are keen to move into that area, this could be the right next step.
The roles cover both cyber defence and cyber strategy work, so technical, assurance and advisory backgrounds are all welcome. The focus is mainly Manager level, with some Assistant Manager opportunities, and you could be delivering client engagements, leading workstreams and helping grow the team.
What you could be doing
- Working on cyber engagements for defence and other security-sensitive clients
- Delivering technical security testing and assurance, or advising on security strategy, risk and compliance, depending on your background
- Working directly with clients and explaining findings and recommendations clearly
- For more experienced people, leading engagements and mentoring colleagues
What you will bring
- Current security clearance, or eligibility to obtain it (eligibility usually depends on UK residency and background checks, which we are glad to talk through)
- Solid experience in cyber security across technical, assurance, risk or advisory work
- Confidence working with clients and communicating clearly at different levels
- Willingness to spend extra time on site where defence projects require it
- Openness to occasional on-call requirements where relevant
What to expect
The working pattern is hybrid, generally two to three days a week in the Bristol office, with some defence work needing more time on site. We will talk through your clearance, availability and the specific role and timings on an initial call, so you know exactly what you are applying for.
