Cyber Security Assistant Director

The Client: A prominent global consultancy

Salary – Up to £140,000 + Additional Corporate Benefits Package

Location: Hybrid Central London or nearest hub to home location

The Role:

We are looking to further strengthen our team with an Assistant Director who preferably has prior M&A experience or a background in large-scale consulting. As an Assistant Director, you will leverage your intellectual acumen and enthusiasm to apply your Cyber skills throughout the M&A transaction lifecycle and assist the Senior Management team on various pre-deal diligence, portfolio assessments, and corporate carve-outs and integrations. While many projects will draw on your specialised Cyber skills, you will also engage in a wider range of transaction advisory tasks over the year.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Cyber Assistant Director within our Transaction Strategy and Execution team, you will implement your Cyber expertise in a transaction setting operating under stringent M&A timelines and requirements and adapt to working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry position. In your consulting role, you will apply your extensive knowledge of cyber security risks and contribute to projects involving Digital Transformation, IT Transformation, and Big Data.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Exhibit a strong aspiration to work in a M&A setting throughout the transaction lifecycle.

• Demonstrate experience in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role where you can show the capacity to execute and summarize Cyber analysis into management insights and recommended actions efficiently.

• Exhibit knowledge of Digital transformation, IT transformation, Big Data, Internet of Things, and Mobile technologies.

• Familiarity with data protection laws, including EU GDPR / UK DPA, in addition to industry standards and frameworks like PCI, ISO27001, and SANS Critical controls.

• Familiar with SDLC and one or more software development languages, such as Java, C/C++,. Net.

• Willingness to assist on broader IT and Operational transaction work not specifically tied to Cyber Security.

• Facilitate and lead meetings with senior client stakeholders to provide advice, shape strategy, and guide the planning for integration, carve-out/separation, and operational restructuring.

• Take responsibility for Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) to guarantee that client work is executed consistently and complies with the firms quality standards.

• Oversee and manage internal practice development, including the creation of tools, accelerators, methodologies, and market propositions.

To qualify for the role, we require:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with experience in producing and reviewing high-quality reports, papers, presentations, and thought leadership.

• A history of successful project execution in corporate settings where you have been responsible for managing project team members and vendors

• A broad spectrum of IT experience that covers infrastructure, applications, databases, and networks

• Extensive knowledge of Cyber Security risks, controls, and governance within corporate settings and understanding how these elements can support and enhance business operations

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Experience in assisting sales and business development activities for professional services projects within a large-scale consulting environment.

• Expertise in delivering Cyber Security guidance across various transactions, covering a diverse array of industry sectors, offering deal-specific insights and advice to clients by utilizing your Cyber and IT expertise.

• Cyber/Information Security certification (like CISSP)
