We are supporting a Life & Pensions insurer seeking an experienced Reporting or Review Actuary to provide immediate short‑term support. The client is open to reviewing CVs from fully qualified actuaries through to strong part‑qualified analysts, provided they have relevant actuarial reporting or review experience. Interviews will be conducted immediately, with CVs reviewed on a rolling, daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support actuarial reporting and/or independent review activities
  • Review actuarial calculations, assumptions and outputs prepared by reporting teams
  • Provide challenge and oversight on results, methodologies, and documentation
  • Assist with financial and regulatory reporting for life and pensions business
  • Work at pace to deliver high‑quality outputs within tight timeframes
  • Liaise with actuarial, finance and senior stakeholders as required

Required Experience

  • Actuarial experience within Life Insurance and/or Pensions
  • Background in actuarial reporting or acting as a Review / Checking Actuary
  • Strong understanding of actuarial methodology, assumptions and controls
  • Able to start immediately (no notice period)

Nice to Have

  • IFRS 17 experience
  • With‑Profits business exposure
