We’re looking for a hands-on, imaginative, conceptual Social Creative Lead to lead our social media output during a key 3-month period. You’ll empower an in-house team of passionate, multi-skilled creatives, many early in their careers, while partnering with a high-performing strategy team, and in lock-step with a new world-leading internal creative agency team who are creating innovative campaigns through-the-line.

If you thrive in fast-paced agency environments, are as comfortable hashing out art directional details as concepting campaign ideas, and want to make an immediate impact on a world-class technology brand, this is your brief.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead & Inspire: Lead, guide and motivate an internal team, helping them develop concepts through to execution across multiple social platforms, making key creative decisions.
  • Translate Strategy to Creative: Work to evolve strategic thinking and creative campaign territories into hands-on social-first creative, shaping ideas that sing both as a vision and in the details.
  • Ideate & Concept: Personally create high-priority campaigns from ideation to art direction, scripting to casting, direction to delivery, proving you’re as hands-on as you are visionary.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with strategy, influencer, comms, media, and wider campaign creative teams, bringing social-first thinking to every idea.
  • Champion Social Best Practice: Be a trend-spotter who lives online, understanding the difference between a YouTube Bumper to a TikTok Branded Effect, and ensure every piece of content follows platform, paid, and owned best practice.
  • Understand Agency Ways of Working: Model agile, iterative processes, offer clear feedback, with the flexibility and pace an in-house agency demands.
  • Team Development: Spot potential, demystify briefs, and coach junior talent to develop their conceptual and craft skills.
What We’re Looking For
  • Big Brand, Global Experience: Experience leading world-class brands on social-first work, ideally for technology or consumer tech clients.
  • All-Round Creative Skillset: Portfolio showing strength in concept, copy, design direction, and content creation, with the curiosity to go deep when needed.
  • Social Specialist: Proven track record concepting and executing global social campaigns and content across all the major platforms.
  • Strategic Mindset: Equally comfortable discussing audience segments and paid strategies as critiquing design executions.
  • Team Leader: Proven success elevating junior teams—giving clear direction, actionable feedback, and inspiring confidence.
  • Agency-Smart & Hands-On: Deep understanding of agency culture, typical processes, and the importance of agility; not afraid to get involved at any stage.
  • Platform Native: Up-to-date on trends, formats, and features across all major social media platforms in both paid and organic formats.
  • Results Focused: Understands what social KPIs matter—and believes in work that makes a measurable difference.
  • 8+ years in creative roles (at least 3 years leading social for major brands).
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced creative agency or in-house equivalent.
  • Tech, consumer tech, or innovation-led brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Confident communicator, skilled at cross-disciplinary teamwork.
Why This Freelance Role?
  • Lead ambitious, world-class social work for a truly innovative technology brand.
  • Lead social campaigns for new global product launches.
  • Empower and upskill future creative talent.
  • A unique chance to bring brilliant creative to life at speed, at scale, and with direct impact.
