The Role

As a Tax Compliance & Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality tax compliance and reporting across the business. Working closely with senior members of the tax and finance teams, you will gain exposure to a broad range of tax matters while playing a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare UK corporate tax returns and supporting tax computations
  • Assist with the coordination of international tax compliance with external advisors
  • Support quarterly and annual tax reporting, including IFRS or UK GAAP provisions
  • Prepare tax accounting entries, including current and deferred tax calculations
  • Gather and analyse financial data required for tax reporting and compliance
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information flow
  • Support interactions with external auditors and tax authorities where required
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and related processes
  • Maintain and improve tax compliance processes and documentation
  • Provide support on ad hoc tax projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA part-qualified or qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience in corporate tax compliance and/or reporting
  • Background in practice or industry, ideally within financial services or a multinational environment
  • Good understanding of UK tax legislation and reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Exposure to the insurance sector or financial services
  • Experience with IFRS or UK GAAP tax reporting
  • Awareness of international tax concepts
  • Experience working with large datasets or financial systems
