We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Category & Sourcing Manager to join a high-performing Procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving commercial value, innovation, and supplier excellence across a complex and regulated environment.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Category & Sourcing Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for strategic sourcing and supplier management within a defined spend area. You’ll lead the development of multi-year category strategies, execute complex sourcing initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders to deliver tangible business outcomes.

You’ll also:

  • Build and lead category and sourcing strategies using market insights and data.
  • Drive cost efficiencies and business benefits aligned to procurement and bank-wide targets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, ensuring procurement has a seat at the table.
  • Lead supplier relationship management to unlock innovation and commercial value.
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and risk management activities.
  • Deputise for the Category & Sourcing Lead in key meetings.

Essential:

  • Proven experience leading high-value, high-risk sourcing activity in a regulated environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management and contract lifecycle optimisation.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of procurement best practices and UK contract law.

Desirable:

  • CIPS Level 4 or above.
  • Experience in financial services or global procurement environments.
  • Familiarity with digital procurement tools and financial accounting principles.
