We have an excellent opportunity for a Category Manager with Professional Services and IT experience to join a global organisation with over 38,000 employees. This role is UK based but does offer remote working with occasional travel to meetings.
In this role you will lead Procurement activities across key Professional Services and IT categories including support to separation work as part of business de-merger.
Category and Contract Management- Ensure that the company requirements for Professional Services and IT categories are fulfilled with the optimum quality, service, and total cost of ownership, which are consistent with the needs of our internal business partners, the opportunities presented by the market, and meet our short and long-term requirements.
- Manage communications between suppliers and internal business partners to ensure business needs are met on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and maintain expertise on vendor selection, relationships and negotiation.
- Maintain close, co-operative relationships with key business partners, enabling development of relevant, forward focused category strategies.
- Operate with an E2E Supply Chain / Business mindset, and in partnership with Business Units, ensure service continuity, continuous improvement and maximized value delivery.
- Maintain collaborative relationships across Procurement and leverage these relationships to drive value for the EMEA business and to support the needs of other regions.
- Ensure that internal control requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner.
- Drive procurement and contract separation activities related to the carve out of the business.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and external advisors to align on and drive execution of all separation planning activities.
- Facilitate communication with business units to validate scope and service needs.
- Act as procurement lead on selected contracts and separation planning activities and negotiations.
- Drive execution of selected PSI Procurement activities including RFQs and contract negotiations.
- Understand dispositioning route proposed by legal, align with business stakeholders and execute.
- Negotiate new agreements for the divested entity where required.
- Ensure supplier readiness and onboarding for Day 1 operations.
- Previous experience with procurement / category management within the IT and Professional services space.
- Experience working in a complex global/diverse environment.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills.
