We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Data and Performance Officer to lead data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, and performance management activities across a portfolio of low-carbon and net zero programmes.

/n

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping regional net zero initiatives through evidence-based decision making. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality analysis, developing performance reporting systems, managing digital tools and dashboards, and ensuring senior stakeholders have access to meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Working alongside colleagues, local authorities, government stakeholders, academic institutions, and delivery partners, you will help drive impactful projects that contribute to the UK's transition to a low-carbon future.

Key Responsibilities

/n

As Senior Data and Performance Officer, you will:

/n

/n
- Lead the development and delivery of data analysis and research to inform strategic and operational priorities.
/n
- Design and produce reports, dashboards and performance metrics for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
/n
- Manage and enhance CRM systems, ensuring they meet the needs of multiple teams and projects.
/n
- Develop and maintain business intelligence tools using Power BI and other Microsoft technologies.
/n
- Deliver training and support to colleagues on CRM and reporting systems.
/n
- Lead GIS-based projects and spatial data analysis activities.
/n
- Establish strong relationships with partners, universities, local authorities and government bodies to develop evidence and data-sharing approaches.
/n
- Present complex technical information in a clear and accessible way to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
/n
- Ensure data governance, quality assurance and GDPR compliance across all reporting activities.
/n
- Lead on performance dashboard development and programme reporting.
/n
- Represent the organisation on regional and national data-related working groups.
/n
- Act as the organisation's Data Champion and Information Asset Custodian.
/n

About You

Essential Requirements

/n

Qualifications & Knowledge

/n

/n
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a discipline with a strong analytical component.
/n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
/n
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, including: /n

/n

- Power BI
/n

- Power Automate
/n

/n
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and business intelligence reporting.
/n
- Knowledge of GIS and data visualisation tools.
/n
- Understanding of coding and query languages such as SQL, DAX, HTML and JavaScript.
/n
