My client, a local authority, is looking for a Senior Migration Consultant to assist with the migration from VMware to Hyper-V. This assignment is expected to run for an initial six-week period, starting as soon as possible, supporting migration completion activities and post-migration stabilisation.
- Execute and support migration of live production workloads from VMware-based environments to Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Plan and execute production cutovers, including validation, rollback planning, and post-migration support.
- Troubleshoot issues across compute, storage, and networking layers within a hybrid HCI environment.
- Proven hands-on experience migrating live production virtual machines to Microsoft Hyper-V from VMware environments.
- Experience using VM conversion and migration tools, including Microsoft migration tooling and/or established third-party migration platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills spanning infrastructure, storage, compute, networking, and virtualisation technologies.
