We are looking for a proactive and data-driven IT Resource Manager to join our Information Services team within Corporate Resources. This is a key role responsible for delivering effective hybrid resource management across both operational services and project environments. You will play a central part in ensuring the Council's workforce is optimally planned, allocated and utilised, supporting critical services and strategic priorities across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Plan, forecast and allocate resources across services and programmes
- Monitor utilisation, capacity and skills availability across teams
- Work closely with service managers and project leads to understand demand and resolve constraints
- Produce insightful reporting on resource usage, shortages and future demand
- Coordinate resource sharing across teams and resolve allocation conflicts
- Maintain accurate workforce and capacity planning data
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimise resource use
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of resource management tools and processes
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, capacity management and resource allocation
- Experience using resource/workforce planning systems
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and resourcing approaches
- Ability to analyse data and produce meaningful reports
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Commitment to high levels of customer service
