About the Role

As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll support the internal development of pricing systems as part of a team of software engineers, actuaries, and underwriting experts. You’ll work across multiple products and technologies as we replace our high-value pricing tool and modernise the end-to-end underwriting process.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of new product specifications within pricing systems.
  • Assist with updates to existing product configurations and tools.
  • Help develop user interfaces, workflow tools, and broker portals.
  • Support system and application integrations as part of our multi-technology landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to maintaining high data quality throughout the pricing lifecycle.
  • Assist with documentation and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies (e.g., Solvency II, Data Protection, Conduct Risk).

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • A degree in Software Engineering or similar (STEM).
  • 1 year of hands-on software development experience.
  • Experience working across the full stack during your studies or professional role.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Understanding or exposure to AWS cloud services.
  • Some integration experience (APIs, system-to-system integration, or similar).
