Base pay range
Application Support Engineer (SQL) – Edinburgh/Glasgow Hybrid – 25-28K + Bonus
Working Schedule
- Morning: 6am to 2:30pm (working from home)
- Mid: 8am to 4:30pm (office in Glasgow or Edinburgh on Tuesdays and Thursdays, remote otherwise)
- Late: 2:30pm to 10pm (remote)
- On-call Rota: 1 in 4/5 weeks, after probation
Lorien’s client, a fast-growing global SaaS company, is hiring an Application Support Engineer based in Edinburgh or Glasgow to join their expanding team.
This role is ideal for candidates with proven Application Support skills and good knowledge of databases/SQL/Azure SQL, seeking growth opportunities, benefits, and a friendly work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line application support
- Handle support requests, prioritize, and escalate as needed
- Coordinate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and other teams
- Share knowledge and collaborate to resolve issues
- Assist with projects, deployments, and process improvements
Requirements:
- Experience in Application Support / 1st Line Support with customer interaction
- Strong SQL and/or Azure SQL skills
- Support users remotely
- Knowledge of ITIL/Change Management is a plus
