You will join a successful international insurance company who specialise in commercial insurance and reinsurance products. My client is looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join their Business Information & Analytics team to support the delivery of data analytics solutions that enable strategic decision‑making. You will also work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver data analytics solutions that align with business goals and strategic needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and define actionable data solutions.
  • Provide analytical consultancy across projects, identifying opportunities for innovation and process optimisation.
  • Promote best practices in data management, modelling, analytics, and the adoption of modern tools and methodologies.
  • Support planning and implementation of changes to data warehouse, reporting, and analytics platforms in collaboration with product and technical teams.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal policy requirements relevant to the role, including data protection, conduct standards, and operational controls.

Hybrid working (approximately 2 days a week in the office)

Salary up to £72,000 + 12.5% bonus

25 days annual leave + bank holidays + option to buy and sell

Requirements:

  • Proficient in data analysis, reconciliation, and testing methodologies, with a solid understanding of database design, data modelling, and data governance best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Suite.
  • Good knowledge of data warehousing, stored procedures and pipelining.
  • Experience collaborating across business, technical, and support functions, driving alignment and shared outcomes.
  • Financial services experience (Insurance experience preferred).
