Job Description

\n We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Project Team in Nigg who will work on our PFI contracted wastewater treatment sites around Aberdeen area. \n Mandatory Requirement \n \n

  • Qualification - an Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma; \n
  • Design Management - Experience as Electrical Designer in Design Team or Project Engineer on Project Delivery who has knowledge in create and manage documentation/drawings for electrical and instrumentation, control and automation projects; Experience in MCC design or installation and commissioning, Understand DSEAR requirement and impact on project design; Understanding of HAZOP, DSEAR, CDM, WIMES, British and European Standards. \n
  • Produce or Review Contractors Design Package \n
  • Electrical Load Schedule \n
  • Electrical Single Line Diagrams/Block Cable Diagrams \n
  • Electrical Cable Sizing Calculations \n
  • Motor Control Centre Specifications & Data sheets \n
  • WIMES data sheets \n
  • Control Philosophies \n
  • Electrical Loop Termination Diagrams \n
  • DSEAR Hazardous Area Assessments \n
  • Electrical Installation Design (tray work/ducting/equipment installation arrangements) \n
  • Panels & MCC Commissioning Plan & Schedule \n
  • \n \n \n
  • CDM - Understanding CDM 2015 and be able to manage design risks though out the entire project lift cycle. \n
  • Auto CAD - Expert in Auto CAD(2D) and be able to produce drawings from sketch and amend when needed. \n
  • Planning - Use Microsoft Programme to create and maintain project plan (programme); understand the critical patch/critical activities of each project; \n \n Other Skills \n \n
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point \n
  • Effective communication in both writing and verbally \n
  • Understand H&S requirement for each specific project and familiar with CDM2015 \n
  • Good Problem Solving Skills \n \n Good to have \n \n
  • Scottish Water Experience \n
  • Water/Wastewater Treatment Knowledge & Experience \n
  • Mechanical or Civils Engineering Knowledge \n
