This is a unique opportunity to be embedded within a reinsurance-focused MI team, supporting key business functions including Underwriting, Actuarial, Business Development, and Portfolio Management. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of three, working directly with stakeholders to deliver high-impact Power BI reports, support ad-hoc requests, and contribute to larger strategic projects. A key aspect of the role involves training users on how to effectively use dashboards—so confidence in presenting and explaining your work is essential. You’ll also collaborate with other MI teams across the business to ensure consistency and excellence in data delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Power BI dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
- Deliver training sessions to users, helping them understand and utilise reporting tools.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and contribute to larger data projects.
- Act as a key contact for reinsurance analytics, promoting data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional MI teams to ensure alignment and best practices.
- Explore new data sources and technologies to improve reporting capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- 2+ years’ experience with Power BI, SQL, and Excel but will consider less experience for the right candidate.
- Comfortable presenting and training users on dashboards and reports.
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance is essential.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to European offices (Cologne and Paris).
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for data and analytics.
