Overview
In this role you will shape the Salesforce roadmap to deliver real business value, focusing on smarter automation and AI. You’ll balance process understanding with system work, guiding prioritisation and ensuring delivery partners are held to account. You’ll work closely with cross-functional colleagues to translate needs into buildable solutions and embed AI thoughtfully. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position with ownership from ideation to adoption within a growing tech business.
Responsibilities
- Prioritise the Salesforce roadmap based on business value
- Explain system objectives and how they achieve outcomes
- Write clear requirements and user stories grounded in process
- Manage the relationship with the delivery partner and refine work before handover
- Follow through post-change to ensure problems are solved
- Maintain a list of automation/AI opportunities ranked by value
- Contribute ideas to automation/engineering, staying involved until implemented
- Weave AI into existing tools to feel native
- Study how work flows across teams and identify bottlenecks
- Document processes and rationale to avoid knowledge silos
Key requirements
- Experience managing a Salesforce or similar roadmap as BA/Systems Analyst/Product Owner
- Strong understanding of how work is actually performed and where automation/AI adds value
- Ability to translate needs for non-technical colleagues into buildable solutions
- Confidence to hold delivery partners to account
- Clear prioritisation sense and ability to push back on low-value work
- Curiosity about AI and its practical applicability
- Working knowledge of Salesforce configuration/administration or ability to learn quickly
