What the successful Senior Network Engineer will be doing:
- Supporting a major office relocation and data centre migration for a global financial services group, working across Arista, Aruba and Cisco infrastructure.
- Delivering Layer 2/3 network migration (switching, routing, VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP) alongside a new FX trading platform build.
- Handling hands-on physical infrastructure work - copper and fibre patching, cable routing, labelling, to a professional installation standard.
- Supporting cutovers, implementation windows and post-change validation, including out-of-hours work when required.
- Ongoing support post go-live.
The Senior Network Engineer needs the following:
- Proven contractor experience delivering building moves and data centre migrations, ideally supporting a trading platform build.
- Strong hands-on experience with Arista, Aruba and Cisco kit.
- Solid Layer 2/3 networking knowledge, including connectivity validation and troubleshooting.
- Track record working with third-party carriers on circuit/WAN migrations.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, business-critical, multi-site environment.
Desirable skill for the network engineer:
- French language skills.
- Experience with multicast networking or Infinera/optical transport.
- CCNA, CCNP, Arista ACE or equivalent certification.
