The business is seeking an Analytics Lead to join a high-performing Risk Financing team, where you will play a key role in shaping and optimising the organisation's reinsurance strategy.
Working closely with stakeholders across Actuarial, Risk, Finance, MI, Underwriting, and external broker partners, you will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing reinsurance structures, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk appetite, capital management priorities, and market conditions.
This is a highly visible role, offering exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence critical strategic decisions through data-driven analysis and insight.
Main
Responsibilities: Support the design, evaluation, and placement of proportional and excess of loss reinsurance programmes across a range of insurance portfolios.
Perform detailed analytical assessments to optimise treaty structures, retentions, attachment points, limits, and overall programme design.
Assess the balance between reinsurance cost, earnings protection, volatility reduction, and capital efficiency.
Lead modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate reinsurance performance under a variety of market and loss outcomes.
Assess the impact of reinsurance structures on capital requirements and business performance metrics.
Support planning and forecasting activities by quantifying the impact of reinsurance on Contribute to governance processes, ensuring compliance with internal frameworks and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements: Qualified or nearly qualified actuary, or equivalent analytical experience.
Experience within insurance, reinsurance, actuarial, capital modelling, pricing, or reinsurance analytics environments.
Strong understanding of treaty reinsurance structures, including proportional and excess of loss programmes.
Experience analysing risk, capital, and portfolio performance within a P&C insurance setting.
Advanced analytical and modelling capabilities, ideally including Excel, R, Python, or actuarial modelling platforms.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing senior decision-makers.
