Overview
As Head of Commercial, you will shape the global commercial agenda to drive growth and profitability in a leading manufacturing group. You will lead pricing, tenders and contracts while strengthening governance and forecasting, using data-driven insights to guide decisions. You’ll partner with Sales, Finance and Executive leadership to align strategy with business objectives and investor expectations. This is a high-visibility, impact-oriented role focused on strategic transformation and sustainable commercial performance. You’ll influence cross-functional teams and mentor a high-performing commercial group to deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy to support growth and profitability objectives
- Lead pricing strategy and margin optimisation initiatives across the business
- Oversee all tender and bid activity, ensuring competitive and profitable submissions
- Drive commercial governance, controls and compliance across customer contracts and agreements
- Partner with Sales and Finance leadership to improve commercial performance and forecasting accuracy
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to identify strategic opportunities
- Provide commercial insight and recommendations to senior leadership teams
- Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing commercial team
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation
- Champion continuous improvement and commercial best practice
Key requirements
- Significant experience in a senior commercial, pricing, revenue management, or commercial excellence role
- Proven success developing and implementing commercial strategies
- Strong experience managing pricing, tenders, contracts and margin improvement initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into business action
- Experience operating within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, logistics, fleet, automotive, or related sectors would be highly advantageous
