Overview
In this role you will manage intercompany transactions and balances across the Group, supporting month-end close, statutory reporting, and audits. You will act as a key liaison between local finance, shared service centers, and Group Finance to maintain balance sheet integrity and governance. The role offers exposure to international operations and opportunities to improve intercompany processes and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial reporting and timely issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain monthly intercompany reconciliations across all Group entities
- Investigate, resolve and document intercompany differences promptly
- Ensure intercompany balances align between counterparties before period close
- Monitor and clear intercompany suspense and clearing accounts
- Support month-end close and prepare intercompany journals, accruals, and recharges
- Assist in statutory financial accounts preparation and disclosures for audits
- Provide schedules and documentation for statutory audits and respond to audit queries
- Maintain governance with Group intercompany policies and complete audit trails
- Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and finance transformation projects
- Lead or support ERP implementations and restructures impacting intercompany processes
Key requirements
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 2-3 years post-qualification experience
- 2-3 years in financial reporting or related roles with strong accounting standards knowledge
- Experience in a multi-entity or international environment (desirable)
- Experience in a UK-based business (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, JDE, etc.) is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with meticulous accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple deadlines
- Strong business acumen and alignment of financial strategy with business objectives
