Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Extensive Azure data engineering experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake and Databricks
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and modern data pipeline development
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of data governance, security and quality assurance
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and technical leadership skills
  • Desirable: Spark, Terraform/Bicep, streaming/IoT data experience and Azure certifications

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical direction of a modern Azure-based data platform
  • Shape data engineering standards
  • Design scalable lakehouse architectures
  • Drive innovation across Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks environments
  • Work closely with data scientists, architects and engineering teams
  • Deliver robust, secure and high-performing data solutions
  • Act as the technical authority for data engineering best practice
