6 Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Hybrid (Glasgow) | Up to £550 per day We're working with a key public sector client looking to bring in an experienced Developer / Tech Lead to support a critical modernisation programme. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work within an established engineering team to deliver improvements to existing services, meet legislative requirements, and drive cost efficiencies. The Role * Provide technical leadership and direction within a delivery team * Lead the development and modernisation of Java-based microservices * Work closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions * Support the delivery of public-facing digital services * Mentor and coach junior developers, promoting best practice * Contribute to an Agile delivery environment with a focus on engineering standards Key Skills Required * Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot (microservices architecture) * Solid experience working with AWS cloud services * Experience with TDD and unit testing frameworks * Proven background operating at senior or tech lead level * Experience working on complex delivery programmes (public sector experience desirable) * Strong mentoring and knowledge transfer skills Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
