Lorien are partnering with a leading name in Manchester to strengthen their InfoSec capabilities and ensure resilience against cyber threats. This is a hands-on role focused on protecting the organisation's network and systems from cyber-attacks.

Responsibilities

  • Protect the organisation's network and systems from cyber-attacks
  • Manage and remediate security incidents
  • Tune SIEM alerts and support endpoint detection and response tooling
  • Contribute to post-incident investigations
  • Lead vulnerability identification and remediation
  • Produce security reporting and metrics
  • Support deployment and maintenance of security tooling across the estate
  • Collaborate with the IT Security & Compliance Manager to shape cyber defence strategy
  • Educate stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices

Qualifications

  • Experience in infrastructure support or within a SOC/security team
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft O365/Azure Security, endpoint and email security tooling
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and IT Service Management platforms
  • Knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats and security technologies
  • Experience with vulnerability identification and remediation
