Overview
We are working with a leading global investment bank seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high‑performing front office technology and change team on a 6‑month contract. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, supporting critical trading and risk initiatives.
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with front office stakeholders (Trading, Structuring, Sales) to gather and document requirements
- Translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
- Partner with developers and data teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and Python
- Support Agile delivery using Jira (user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning)
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements across trading platforms
- Conduct UAT coordination and support implementation into production
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within an Investment Banking environment
- Strong understanding of one or more asset classes, e.g.: Bonds / Fixed Income, Front Office Derivatives, FX (Foreign Exchange)
- Hands‑on experience with Python (data analysis, scripting, automation)
- SQL (data extraction, manipulation)
- Jira (Agile delivery environment)
- Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams
- Experience working on front office or trading‑related projects
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of risk systems or regulatory projects
- Experience with data modelling or reporting tools
- Exposure to cloud or modern data platforms
