We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading organisation on a 6-month contract based in Leek.
This is a day-based role supporting maintenance activities within a highly regulated industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on plant equipment
- Perform pipefitting and mechanical maintenance tasks
- Conduct basic electrical fault-finding and diagnostics
- Undertake function testing and signal checking
- Execute flange repairs and maintenance
- Isolate and maintain pumps and agitators safely
- Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety and compliance standards
- Support continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
- Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment
- Strong background in pipework, pumps, vessels, and flanges
- Basic electrical fault-finding capability
- Experience with equipment isolation procedures (LOTO)
• Hands-on experience within one or more of the following industries
- Chemical / Petrochemical
- Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences
- FMCG / Manufacturing
- Oil & Gas / Refinery
- Power Generation xgikmsk / Waste-to-Energy / Steel
